Description

Known as “America’s First National Park”, Yellowstone National Park was established in 1872 and has been a popular destination for those visiting Montana and Wyoming. Weathered to look as if it came right from the park, this sign evokes a sense of age and history.

Yellowstone Park is famous for it’s gorgeous valleys, geysers, and rivers and is also home to a variety of wildlife, including the Grizzly Bear, which is depicted in this artwork. “The Griz” once numbered 100,00 and inhabited most of the American West. Now Yellowstone is the southernmost habitat for 150 of the estimated 1,000 remaining in the lower 48 states. Our inspiration for this piece came from Yellowstone’s rich history and the simplicity of the past. There is a wire on the back for easy hanging.

Disclaimer

All signs are hand-made, hand-build, hand-painted and originally created designs made from Montana barnwood. Made in our shop in Hamilton, Montana.

Since we acquire our barnwood locally in small batches, each sign is unique and will be HANDMADE UPON ORDER. THE ITEM PICTURED IS A SAMPLE OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT. The final product will have the same design and colors as pictured, but the wood will vary slightly in color and patina. This ends up in each sign being a unique original. If you have any special requests regarding wood, please inquire upon ordering and we will do our best to accommodate.

We choose wood for its patina, not its perfection! Because the wood we use for our signs is reclaimed, imperfections in the wood can be expected. Also, be cautious when handling the signs as an occasional sliver may occur. While we try, please understand that not all the materials used to build the sign may be reclaimed (ex. braces, screws, hangers).
