Description
Weathered to look as if it came right from the Whitefish, MT train station, this sign evokes a sense of age and history. Developed in the late 1800s, Great Northern Railway runs from Minnesota to Seattle across America’s beautiful northern tier. The railway’s most famous section runs through northern Montana, and is credited with the creation and development of Glacier National Park; and the railway’s iconic mountain goat has come to symbolize the park. In the early 1900s it was the primary method of transportation to Glacier. There is a wire on the back for easy hanging.

| Disclaimer | All signs are hand-made, hand-build, hand-painted and originally created designs made from Montana barnwood. Made in our shop in Hamilton, Montana. Since we acquire our barnwood locally in small batches, each sign is unique and will be HANDMADE UPON ORDER. THE ITEM PICTURED IS A SAMPLE OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT. The final product will have the same design and colors as pictured, but the wood will vary slightly in color and patina. This ends up in each sign being a unique original. If you have any special requests regarding wood, please inquire upon ordering and we will do our best to accommodate. We choose wood for its patina, not its perfection! Because the wood we use for our signs is reclaimed, imperfections in the wood can be expected. Also, be cautious when handling the signs as an occasional sliver may occur. While we try, please understand that not all the materials used to build the sign may be reclaimed (ex. braces, screws, hangers). |
